The brief
A 150 m² house in Vilnius for clients who entertain often and wanted the ground floor to work as one generous, flowing space — kitchen, dining and living together — without losing the sense of order a family home needs day to day.
The concept
One architectural gesture organises the whole house: a full-height oak-panelled wall that runs the length of the open plan, concealing storage, appliances and doorways behind its calm rhythm. Against it, a pale stone kitchen island and an oval oak dining table gather people naturally, lit by a single linear pendant. Tufted linen seating softens the geometry. It is house interior design at its most disciplined — few materials, precise detailing, and light doing most of the decorating.
Materials
Oak wall panelling and chevron flooring, pale limestone, tufted linen and wool upholstery, and blackened-steel lighting — a restrained palette that lets proportion and craft carry the interior.
