The brief
An 80 m² apartment by the sea in Palanga, designed as a calm retreat from the resort town’s summer pace. The owners asked for something modern and low-maintenance that would still feel warm through Lithuania’s long off-season — a place equally right for a July weekend and a quiet November escape.
The concept
The interior is built on a single, quiet contrast: the cool precision of brushed-steel cabinetry against the soft, earthy calm of microcement walls. In the double-height living space, sculptural paper-moon pendants hang like the sun through sea mist, giving the apartment its character the moment you enter. Furniture stays low and rounded, keeping views and light unobstructed — a warm take on minimalist apartment design shaped by its coastal setting.
Materials
Brushed stainless steel, warm-grey microcement, pale oak, linen and bouclé textiles — a palette that reads modern yet ages gracefully in a seaside climate.
